O'hEocha Design (UK) Limited was formed in Warwichshire in May 1999 but is now based in picturesque Galway. The company was founded by Aonghus 0’hEocha, ex BMW/Rover designer/engineer, who spotted an opportunity for the provision of a range of well-styled and flexible speaker systems for PC/MAC, hi-fi and home cinema. The company’s brand values are associated with premium sound quality, solid engineering, out of the ordinary styling and a true customer led culture.

The company has not constrained itself with conventional ways of thinking and as a result the products are bold, striking and contemporary. They are not, however, out of reach in terms of pricing and accessibility and represent a true milestone in audio performance and styling for the Millennium. Only the best quality components, built by specialist craftsmen, are used in the construction of O'hEocha Design speakers. Every speaker is hand finished and tested to ensure optimum quality for every customer. Style follows function, with each design having a series of unique elements configured to optimise sonic performance.

The engineering materials chosen for use in the enclosures have been carefully selected to provide class-leading levels of rigidity and sound absorption when used in a composite construction.

O'hEocha Design has broken clear of the cost constrained, plastic vinyl wrapped world of MDF/chipboard and has produced a range of products that use the best available materials. For example, the D1 model is composed of the finest grade of 6063 aluminium combined with the best Canadian maple and American ash.

O'hEocha Design will continue to offer elegant designs with increased flexibility and world class quality.

Wires are becoming a thing of the past. Future models will include high quality, digital wireless options. The bespoke digital wireless technology is currently under development. Flexibility is built into O-D systems, therefore, current wired models may be rendered wireless by linking the newly developed receiver module to the speaker. The digital transmitter linked to the Hi-Fi, television or PC means that users can have a high quality sound system throughout the home without the headache of wiring and without having to invest in new speaker systems.
