BFA GAINS FURTHER BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS AND INDUSTRY FROM DTI FUNDING FOR FRANKFURT HIGH- END SHOW 2000

Following the great success of the 2000 Las Vegas International Consumer Electronics Show British Federation of Audio/Department of Trade and Industry Funding arrangement, whereby, sponsored by the BFA, the DTI gave financial support to UK audio exporters for an exhibition stand or exhibition room, the British Federation of Audio has announced that it is to also sponsor, with DTI support, the High End Show at Frankfurt, which takes place from 1st-4th June 2000.

The British Federation of Audio has received another offer from the DTI, under the SESA 2000/2001 Programme, to sponsor UK audio companies to the Frankfurt Exhibition. DTI funding will be available for eligible and complying exhibitors of the BFA sponsored group only. Companies do not have to be a member of the BFA and the size of the grant available has been confirmed as up to 60% of the cost of the exhibition stand/ exhibition room up to a grant maximum of £2,300. There is no restriction on the size of the room or stand.

The BFA will offer all exhibitors the following services: 1] the BFA will administer all applications and handle all accounting arrangements on behalf of the DTI; 2] the BFA will provide advice to participants new to the High End Show; 3] the BFA will have a representative on site (in Frankfurt) to assist with any problems during the show. The representative’s accommodation address and contact details will be made available nearer the time.

The BFA will be providing, for the convenience of press and show visitors, information about the UK Audio Industry. This will include the locations of the BFA group participants together with a short statement, of about 5 lines, on each company and its products.

To cover its costs the BFA will levy an administration fee of just £375 for non-BFA members only. This sum will be deducted from the DTI exhibition grant prior to reimbursement of the show costs. BFA members will not be charged an administration fee.
