The following report was given at the British Federation of Audio's 7th Annual General Meeting of Members, held on April 10 2001 at Landseer House, London. The report, delivered by the outgoing Chairman, Gordon Provan, has no embargo. The BFA also announced that it is to sponsor, with BTI support, British exporting companies attending the High End Show at Frankfurt. So far some twenty companies (including seven non members, who are eligible but have to pay a small administration fee) have taken up the offer. BTI funding will be available for eligible and complying exhibitors of the BFA sponsored group only. Companies do not have to be a member of the BFA and the size of the grant available has been confirmed as up to 60% of the cost of the exhibition stand/ exhibition room up to a grant maximum of £2,300. There is no restriction on the size of the room or stand. Other matters to report. Steve Harris, of Audioplus, was elected Chairman of the BFA, following the stepping-down from the post by Gordon Provan. The BFA officers, executive committee members and members collectively wish to thank Gordon most sincerely for his excellent work over the last seven years. He has guided the Federation through periods of much change in the industry with immense skill and his vast industry experience has secured a solid future for the Federation. His unselfish and tireless contribution to the BFA will long be remembered and appreciated. Election of Officers and Executive Committee Members.
